The difference between *Illusion* and trash...

Where I come from (where most of you come from) boudoir is not a word that you hear commonly... actually, never would be more accurate.

Boudoir photography is certainly not a topic that makes the cut of things to talk about in our small town.  And if you google the word, you typically get racy and trashy links that you'd be ashamed to click on.  *Illusion* photography is not like that.

If you're like me, though... it's something you've thought about.  On those days when you're wearing sweatpants because nothing fits, I've thought, "Why couldn't I have looked as great as I thought I did yesterday?"  On those days when you're staring in the mirror before getting dressed and you're thinking, "Ugh... look at all of this."  Face it.  As women, we don't love the skin we're in half as much as we ought to.

Whether you're married or single, twenty or sixty, *Illusion* photography can be a simple reminder to love your skin because you are beautiful.

When I decided that Shutterproof was going to offer this photography, I decided it was only fair if I had a shoot done for me.  I had always thought about having one done, but around here you can't really find a classy place that does them.  I had my dear friend came over and I became my own guinea pig.  It was thrilling.  And scary.  And incredible.  And terrifying.  And fun.  I was nervous at first about opening myself up for photography, but the result was incredible.  I look at those pictures now and I think, "This is the woman my husband sees when he looks at me.  This is the woman I need to see in myself."

The thought of doing a photo session is frightening, I know.  Open yourself up to the adventure.  Take a chance to love your body again for simply being an incredible creation.  Lay down your many hats - wife, mother, cook, driver, maid, etc - and simply be a woman.

God created your body uniquely and perfectly.  Embrace it.  Check out the *Illusion* tab for details on confidentiality and the pricing tab for the financial stuff.  Take a risk and give me a call... you may love your body more than you think.
